Pain rarely stays where it started

An overworked joint passes its load to the next one. A guarded posture tightens the breath. That's why Martina treats the pattern, not just the sore spot. Here's what a pain management and posture plan can help with.

why osteopathy · perché l'osteopatia

Why hands-on treatment works for pain

Painkillers quiet the signal. Osteopathy asks why the signal is firing. That difference is why so many people arrive here after everything else has only half worked.

Treats the cause, not the symptom

A sore shoulder can start in a stiff mid-back. A recurring headache can start in the jaw. Osteopathy looks at the whole structure to find where the problem actually lives, so relief holds instead of returning.

Gentle enough for anybody

Martina's techniques are manual, drug-free, and matched to your body: firm enough to change something, never forceful. That makes them suitable whether you're a competitive athlete or haven't exercised in years.

Built for chronic pain

Long-standing pain rarely responds to quick fixes. Martina has made chronic pain management a focus of her practice: steady, patient work on the structures and habits keeping the pain in place.

You stay in charge

Every finding is explained, every technique is agreed on, and the plan is built together. You leave knowing what she found, what she did, and what to do at home between visits.

How a pain plan comes together

1

Find the source

Your first session starts with conversation and a full structural assessment: the body, the movement, and the lifestyle around them. Pain in one place is often a story that started somewhere else, so Martina traces it back before treating anything.

2

Treat, hands on

Using a range of gentle manual techniques matched to your body, Martina works on the structures behind the pain: joints, muscles, fascia, and the posture holding them. Treatment happens in the same session as the assessment.

3

Align & prevent

You leave with a plan built together: how many visits, how far apart, and what to change between them. For chronic pain especially, the goal is steady, honest progress toward a body that needs less treatment, not more.

Pain doesn't care what you do all day

Different lives load the body in different ways. Martina treats them all, and the plan looks different for each.

Athletes & active people

Get back to it, and stay there

As a former competitive water skier, Martina knows what training takes from a body. Treatment for sport injuries, overuse pain, and joint problems, plus the alignment work that prevents the next one.

Desk & on-your-feet workers

Undo what the workday does

Eight hours at a screen or on concrete leaves a signature: tight neck and shoulders, low back pain, headaches by mid-afternoon. Martina releases the tension and rebuilds the posture underneath it.

Living with chronic pain

For the pain that's overstayed

When pain has been there for months or years, it changes how you move, sleep, and live. Chronic pain management is a focus of Martina's practice: patient, persistent work toward getting your life back.
